In reaction to massage, specific physiological and chemical changes flow throughout the body. Research shows that with massage:
- Arthritis sufferers note fewer aches and less stiffness and pain.
- Asthmatics show better pulmonary function and increased peak air flow.
- Burn injury patients report reduced pain, itching, and anxiety.
- High blood pressure patients demonstrate lower diastolic blood pressure, anxiety, and stress hormones.
- Premenstrual syndrome sufferers have decreased water retention and cramping.
- Preterm infants have improved weight gain.
- Research continues to show the enormous benefits of touch for all ages —which range from treating chronic diseases, neurological disorders, and injuries, to alleviating the tensions of modern lifestyles. Consequently, the medical community is actively embracing bodywork, and massage is becoming an integral part of hospice care and neonatal intensive care units. Many hospitals are also incorporating on-site massage practitioners and even spas to treat post-surgery or pain patients as part of the recovery process.

Swedish Massage $70 per 60 Min Session
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines the use of inspirational, relaxing, nurturing, calming, and gentle touch with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility. This is a light to moderate pressure and full body massage experience.
Deep Swedish Massage $90 per 60 Min Session
Deep Swedish Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Swedish Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don’t get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session. This is a deep/heavy pressure and full or partial body massage experience.
Trigger Point Therapy $75 per 60 Min Session
Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing “trigger points” in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These “knots” are built up throughout a person’s life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly trans-formative.
Pick two (2) specific areas for concentrated bodywork intended for chronic pain management – Head/Neck, Arms/Hands, Shoulders, Chest, Abs, Upper Back, Lower Back, Legs/Feet.

Kim Reddy, LMT (MA68069)
As a graduate from Sarasota School of Massage Therapy and a licensed massage therapist, I have already begun making a mark on the massage therapy industry. My hands intuitively know naturally where the knots are on your body and how to smooth and relax them. By using the powerful techniques of therapeutic massage, I will give your body the relief it deserves.
After meeting my career goals in the business world, I was looking to complete my life long goal of helping others relax. I searched for over twelve years to find the school that met my educational and practical needs and found Sarasota School of Massage. Within the next couple years, I will be returning to school to further her knowledge with massage therapy and branch into wellness.
With a flexible work schedule and willingness to travel to clients, I can work with all of the members of your family regardless of age or health status. Even if your family member is bed ridden, I can still offer massages to hands and feet that will help relax them. I believe is that massage should be in our health routine. In my free time I like to be involved in sports and I am currently on three softball teams in the Venice-Englewood area.
